Jane M. Collins, age 71, passed away peacefully at Seal Rock Healthcare facility on October 20, 2024. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 19, 1953 to parents Katheryn Trempus and Dr. Rollie Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Timothy Allen.
She is survived by her son Dr. Nikolas Collins and his wife Dr. Ashley Collins, grandson Ryan Collins, brothers Chris Allen, Richard Allen, Paul Allen and David Allen, nephews Brad, Aaron, Erick, Nathan, Kevin and Brian, nieces Leah and Rebecca and a host of extended family and friends.
Jane was raised in Orange, Texas and went on to attend and graduate from Baylor University. She raised her family in Asheville and Mt. Holly, North Carolina before moving to Old Orchard Beach, Maine to be near her son and daughter-in-law.
She was a long time and beloved member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, North Carolina and an avid gardener. She enjoyed being outside, enjoying good food, spending time with her grandson, and had a love of her gardens. She raised her only son as a single mother and provided a wonderful and loving childhood for him. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial garden will be created in her honor by her son, daughter-in-law and grandson at their home in Maine. Memorial contributions may be donated in her honor to First Baptist Church of Mount Holly, 300 S. Main St. Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
