
A Celebration of James A. Webb’s life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. and services to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, TX.
James left this world after 82 years to be with his Lord and Savior on August 30, 2016. He was reunited in Heaven with his wife of 61 years Faye Webb.
James was born in Wiergate, TX and was a former longtime resident of Jasper where he graduated high school in 1952. He and his wife raised a family in Orange, TX where he retired as a welder with American Bridge and had his second retirement with Trinity Steel Corporation. After retirement he and Faye built a home in Brookeland where they have spent the past 20 years. There he enjoyed working with wood and following the Dallas Cowboys. He was talented in working with his hands on anything from vehicles to carpentry. He was an easy going county boy, and was liked by everyone. He and his wife enjoyed singing at Mill Creek Missionary Baptist Church where they were members and he served as a Deacon.
James is survived by his sons, Mike Webb & wife Donna of Orange, TX, Mark Webb of Oklahoma, and Ronnie Webb and wife Penny of Mauriceville, TX; grandchildren are David Webb & wife Keren, Christy Scott & husband Ryan, Amy Smith, Ron Webb, and Jaycee Webb; as well as five great grandchildren, Justin Webb, Avery Webb, Faith Webb, Parker Scott, and Jackson Scott.
James was preceded in death by his wife Faye on June 11, 2015.
Also preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
