James Wallace Faul, 70, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.
James was a lifelong resident of Vidor who dedicated his career to the industrial field, where his strong work ethic and dependability earned the respect of all who worked alongside him. He retired from Chevron Chemical in Orange and later from WestRock Papermill in Evadale. He was also a proud member of Local 195 Pipefitters, where he made many lifelong friendships.
Beyond his professional life, James found great joy in giving back to his community as a baseball coach and Pony Director for Vidor Youth Baseball, where he helped shape and encourage many young athletes over the years.
In his leisure time, James was happiest outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener who loved spending time in nature, traveling to new places, and tackling any project that came his way. There was never a job too big or small for him—he approached everything with determination and a smile. The vegetable gardens he made was always a passion for him.
James will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Faul; his son, Matthew Faul and fiancé Kayla; Matthew’s daughter, Breelynn Faul; brothers, Ken Faul and wife Ginger, and Terry Faul and wife Betsy; sister, Sharlyn Perry; godson and nephew, Shaine Perry and wife Brecken; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by his parents Sosthene and Constance Faul.
His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, and the countless stories shared by those who loved him.
