James Martin Williamson, age 74, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021. James was born on June 23, 1947 in Pollock, Louisiana.
James was a resident of Orange, Texas for most of his life before moving to Vinton. James worked for Craft Oil Co. as a truckdriver for over 40+ years, was on the volunteer Pinehurst Fire Dept., and the Pinehurst City Council. James enjoyed picking blue berries and cutting grass and was known to help anyone in need. The most important thing to James was his family which he loved dearly!
James was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Williamson, Jr. and Louise Moreno Williamson, and siblings, Georgia Carter, Thelma White, Marshall Williamson, David Williamson, Audrey Block, Lillie Marie Williamson, Joe Williamson, Wesley Williamson, Rena Peddy, Ray Williamson, and Doug Williamson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lillie Williamson; son, Christopher James Williamson and wife, Becky; son, Kevin Wayne Williamson and wife, Joey; grandchildren, DeLaynie Williamson, Cheri James, Corey “Bo” McRae, and McKennah Schichtel; special niece, Michelle Peddy; and a host of great-grandchildren, other special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church, 2161 Edgerly DeQuincy Road, Vinton, Louisiana 70668.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Beard officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery in Vinton.
