The Celebration of Life for Mr. James A. Monroe, Jr., 43, of Orange, will held during the Memorial Service, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10am, at Sparrow Funeral Home.
Disposition is Cremation.
Born September 8, 1982, in New Iberia, LA, he was the son of Stephanie Richardson and James Allen Monroe.
Residing in Orange for 15 years, his working years were spent in food service. Dairy Queen, Inc was one of his employers.
A lover of video games, he also worshipped at the Temple of Praise.
His summons from earthly life came Friday, November 14th at his residence.
Survivors include his daughter, Shatoya Harris of Lafayette, LA, adoptive parents, Vivian and Frederick Flore of Orange, brothers, Jarmer Wells of Atlanta, GA, and Frederick Flore, Jr. (Brittany) of Orange, sisters, Ivy Jones (Eddie Mack, III) of Orange and Amina Flore of Lake Charles, LA, aunt, Elizabeth Richardson of Lake Charles, uncles, Larry Richardson (Barbara) of Richmond, VA, Robert Earl Richardson of Kansas City, MO and June Richardson (Carol) of Sulphur, LA, and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
