An Thursday morning accident on MacArthur Drive in Orange did a lot of damage but fortunately, and miraculously, no one was injured.
A flatbed wrecker truck pulling a trailer with a large green tank full of abrasive sand used for sandblasting was traveling westbound on MacArthur Drive in the 8am hour when the trailer came off the hitch. The trailer went across five lanes of traffic before crashing into Granger RV.
The trailer obliterated a brick column in front of the business, then hit at least four RV’s and bent the Granger RV sign before the smoke cleared.
“It was unbelievable that no one was driving eastbound on MacArthur,” said Granger RV owner Al Granger. “Also that there was none of our people on the lot at the time. I’m so glad no one was hurt.” Granger said one of the RV’s damaged belonged to another individual and they were working on it.
