The Orange Historic Preservation Commission has a special meeting Tuesday to discuss fences in the historic district.
The agenda says the historic commission in 2012 agreed to set the height of front yard fences to a maximum four feet tall, but the change from five feet tall was never recorded in the city codes.
In addition, the historic district has no maximum heights for backyards, though the city has a maximum of eight feet. The historic district also has no maximum heights for side yard fences.
The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Neighborhood Facilities Building, 303 Eighth Street.
