Just after 8pm Thursday, firefighters from Bridge City Fire and Rescue were called to 3706 Windy Ln. in Orangefield for a house fire.
Firefighters arrived to find the garage on the two story structure engulfed in flames. The family inside said they heard a pop and once they saw fire they were all able to get out safely and call 911.
The fire is under investigation but it’s believed to have started near an electrical box. Firefighters, assisted by WOFD and OCESD4, were able to keep the fire from a total loss. The home did receive some smoke and water damage.
