Orange Fire Marshal John Bilbo is investigating the cause of a Wednesday afternoon fire at a house where police were called two and a half hours earlier when a man threw a brick at a person.
The house at 1037 Clairmont Drive off Bob Hall Road was heavily damaged by the fire. No occupants were injured.
Orange police were called to the house at 1:22 p.m. Wednesday to investigate an aggravated assault among family members.
Police Major Wade Robinson said a man threw a brick at a person. The brick hit the person on the wrist. Medics that came to the house treated the victim and put a temporary cast on the person.
He said police do not have information on the age of the victim or whether the person throwing the brick was inside or outside of the house at the time it was thrown.
