Orange County has some wonderful events during the holiday season. Check out many around the area below.
Village of the Nativity is returning to Orange for first time since Hurricane Harvey! The entire family is invited to come out on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm to experience “Village of the Nativity.” Over 100 church members are joining together to recreate Bethlehem in order to help you hear first hand from the townspeople about the newborn King as you walk through a lighted first century recreation that ends with baby Jesus lying in a manger surrounded by his parents, shepherds, and the wise men. Enjoy the numerous sights, sounds, and smells that would have been experienced some two-thousand years ago, and finish up the evening with a cup of hot cocoa, cookies, and some Christmas carols. North Orange Baptist Church is located just one mile north of I-10 on 16th Street (Highway 87) and is free to the community. Make “Village of the Nativity” a meaningful part of your Christmas experience with your family this year. More information is available at www.nobcfamily.com or 409.883.5678.

Trinity Baptist Church presents, Themes of Christmas, Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Trinity Baptist Church is located at 1819 N. 16th St. in Orange. The event is free and opened to the public. Themes of Christmas is an original Christmas-themed musical drama performed by Trinity Baptist Orange church members, church choir and instrumentalists. The story includes a mom and daughter who sit down at home to write a Christmas musical for their church and as they work it out in their heads, the story unfolds on the stage behind them. It’s a play within a play, humorous at times as they hash out the details, yet poignant, as they build the Nativity scene and play out various themes for the program, all of which point to the real reason for the season, the birth of Jesus.
