
Several Orange County basketball teams are playing in tournaments this weekend. Results are below and will be updated as scores are reported.
Saturday
Orangefield had four players in double figures as they beat Hull-Daisetta 74-40. Valentin Catt had 20 pts and 10 rebounds. Cade Prejean added 15 and Colby Gonzales and Coy Bryant scored 11. The Bobcats also defeated Evadale 60-29. Valentin Catt had 18 and Tyrone Waggoner 15 for OF.
BC lost to PNG 67-58
Friday
The OF Bobcats opened the BC Tournament with a 42-37 loss to PNG Friday morning. Coy Bryant lead the Bobcats with 12 points on 4-8 shooting threes. Logan Risinger and Valentin Catt added nine and Catt lead with 14 rebounds. In their second game they beat Sabine Pass 69-33. Catt had 16 pts and 15 rebounds.
LCM lost to host Fredericksburg 58-43. Braden Bridges scored 26 for LCM. The Bears beat Midlothian Heritage 54-44. Bridges had 33. The 9-13 Bears host Lumberton Jan. 4
Deweyville lost to Rockdale 42-33.
BC beat Hull-Daisetta 74-29 and Anahuac 72-36
Thursday
The LCM Bears went 1-1 at the Fredericksburg Tournament Thursday. They lost to Cleburne 60-55 with Braden Bridges scoring 27, Doucette 11 and DJ Williams 10. In the second game they defeated Canyon Lake 55-51 with Bridges leading with 25, Doucette had 10 and DJ added 8 rebounds and took 3 charges.
WOS lost to East Chambers 78-58 and beat Broaddus 44-40 at the EC Tournament.
Deweyville lost to New Waverly 49-19 in the Buffalo Tournament. Cade Watson led DV with 11. The Pirates also lost to host Buffalo 73-22. Keevin Gordon led DV with 10.

BC lost to host EC 55-36
Thursday
LCM lost to Tomball 58-28 and defeated PNG 44-42 at the EC Tournament. Chelsea Perry led the Bears with 14 and 6 against Tomball and 12 vs. PNG. Karly Rogers also had 10 pts and 13 rebounds.
BC beat Broaddus at the EC Tournament 54-32. They also beat Liberty 47-36
Deweyville at Buffalo Tournament
OF at Aggieland Tournament. Lost to Franklin by four.
