On June 20, a motorcycle policeman from Beaumont PD was working traffic control on Hwy. 73 when a woman struck his motorcycle and then fled the scene. Fortunately he was not on the bike at the time.
Thursday, Constable Brad Frye spotted a Chevy truck matching the description of the hit&run vehicle. He made the stop at Hwy. 87 and FM 1006 and found the damage on the truck.
The woman was questioned and later confessed and the appropriate charges were made.
