Herman Edward Whitten, 80 of Mauriceville died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Friday, April 30, 2021.
Born January 17, 1941 to Norman Whitten and Ruby (Huffman) in Kirbyville, he lived most of his life in the area until moving to Mauriceville in 1972. He worked as an electrical supervisor for Chevron.
He is survived by wife, Sue Whitten of Mauriceville; children, Susanne Whitten of Port Arthur, Edward Whitten and Janis of Port Neches, Doug Whitten and Shelia and Little Cypress, Lisa Brasseaux and Brian of Mauriceville, Cindy Childress and David of Mauriceville; brothers, Melvin Whitten, Glen Whitten; sisters, Norma Kemp, Florence Millard, Doris Moses, Debbie Bosworth, Barbara Kitchens and Bob; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
