Bridge City native and UT-Arlington senior Alexus Henry finished twelfth at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Austin Saturday.
Henry jumped 5-10 along with six other jumpers and ties were broken with fewer misses. The winner was Zarriea Willis of Texas Tech who jumped 6-2.
Clearing 5-10 on her final jump Henry, UTA announced Henry as the school’s most decorated female track. She’s the first four-time women’s All-American between the indoor and outdoor seasons. She also owns school records in the indoor high jump, outdoor high jump, indoor pentathlon and outdoor heptathlon.
Henry was a First-Team All-American last outdoor season and was a two-time Second Team Indoor All-American after placing ninth in 2019 and 10th at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships.
