Sabine River Authority of Texas in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas B.A.S.S. Nation invites you to attend a volunteer workday on Friday March 17, 2023, beginning at 8:00 am. SRATX is seeking volunteers to help assemble 100 PVC fish attractors that will be deployed into Toledo Bend Reservoir.
These PVC attractors have been scientifically studied (WL 7 second pages.indd (seafwa.org)) and proven to be effective at attracting high numbers of fish. The goal of this project is to provide the opportunity for successful fishing trips for the public when they visit Toledo Bend Reservoir. The coordinates of the deployment locations will be made available via the TPWD and SRATX websites.
Assembly includes using PVC glue to join pre-assembled pipes, drilling 5/8” holes into the PVC pipe, and zip tying 100’ of 4” perforated pipe around and throughout the structure. All materials and disposable gloves will be provided. No skills necessary, please come as you are. Lunch and drinks will be provided!
