Approximately an acre of land burned before firefighters could get it under control Saturday in West Orange.
The call came in Saturday evening to the West Orange Fire Department and the fire was located near the 2200 block of FM 1006, Irving St. and Adams Bayou. WOFD was assisted by Orange Fire.
The cause is unknown. No structures were burned. Despite the cooler temperatures the area was still under a red flag day as well as a county wide burn ban.
