At approximately 9pm Thursday, first responders were called to 16th and Green in Orange for an accident. Preliminary reports are that a woman driving a vehicle south on 16th St., went through the light at Green Ave. and struck a power pole next to Mike Willis Ford.
The pole came crashing down, taking out power to 950 Entergy customers. The woman was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
As of midnight there were still 400 customers without power.
