The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Gloria A. Richard, 79, of Orange, will be Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 10am at St. Therese Catholic Church under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Disposition will be Cremation.
Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:30 am. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30am. Gloria Ann Richard was born August 11, 1945, in Lawtell, LA to Louise (Gilbeaux) James and Willie James. Her summons from life to life eternal came January 27, 2025, in Orange, Texas.
United in Holy Matrimony on July 31, 1964, to Julian Joseph Richard, Sr., they shared some 56 years together, being parted only by his passing, December 23, 2020.
Residing in Orange, TX some 61 years, Gloria retired from U.S. Intec as a Mail Clerk. A member of St. Therese Catholic Church, she was also a member of the St. Ann’s Court #44, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Peter Claver. Gloria Ann Richard is survived by one daughter Charolette Fontenot (Ryan)
of Beaumont, TX, one son Julian J. Richard, Jr. (Dantri) of Spring, TX, one brother, Perry James of Houston, TX, one sister, Delores Guillory of Houston, TX , 4 grandchildren, bonus family, Jamere, Shon and Sylvia and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
