Glen Bruce West, age 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, in Beaumont, Texas, on Monday, April 21, 2025. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Dorman Funeral Home. There will be a viewing on Friday April 25, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 followed by the service at 11:00, to be held at SilverOaks Baptist Church in Mauriceville, Texas.
Glen was born to Arnold and Elva West on July 28, 1945 in Sulpher, Louisiana. He was well known in the construction business for his proficiency in operating many different kinds of heavy equipment.
Preceding Glen in death were his parents; his children, Grady West and Alice Faye West; brothers, Billy West, LeRay West, Randall West, Curtis West, and Dale West; sister, Gwen Clark; brother-in-law, Wallace Shute; sister-in-laws, Judy Shute and Betty Shute.
Those left to cherish the memories and life of Glen are his wife, Lurla West; son, Wallace West (Melissa); brother, Larry West; sisters, Jan Vaclavik (Terry) and Mary Powell (Phil); brother-in-laws, James Shute (Glenda) and Forrest Shute; sister-in-laws, Laverne Keen (William), Virginia O’Banion (Gary), Rita Williamson (Jim), and Hattie Jenkins (Steve); grandchildren, Dennis West, Cameron West, Alysia Broussard, Chelsea Lopez and Sean Russell; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews along with untold number of other friends and family.
Serving as pallbearers are; Dennis West, Cameron West, Sean Russell, Charlie Brown, Jason Sheppard and Randy Smith.
