The first round of the girls basketball playoffs is this week. Bridge City, Little Cypress-Mauriceville and Orangefield will be competing in the postseason.
The 18-4A Champs from Bridge City will travel to Huntington Monday night to face Huntington at 7pm in the Division 2 bracket. The winner plays the winner between Liberty and Wheatley.
In the Division 1 bracket, The Lady Bears, also out of 18-4A, will play 17-4A Palestine at Lufkin Hudson HS Monday at 7:30pm. The winner plays the winner between Worthing/Huffman.
Coach Girola and the Orangefield Lady Bobcats will play in the 3A D1 playoffs against Pollock Central at 6pm on Tuesday at Jasper HS. Winner faces either Hitchcock or Crockett.
