Gilbert Gonzalez, 39, of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 19, 2017 at Memorial Hermann in Houston.
Born in Houston, Texas, on May 7, 1978, he was the son of Betty Jimenez. Wherever Gilbert went you could find overflowing laughter and love. Family was always the most important thing to him, and no one ever had to question that. Whenever anything bad happened to anyone he loved, you could guarantee he would be the one to make it right. There are many words to describe Gilbert but none could fully recount the love he had in his heart and the impact he made on all those who knew and loved him. He was the most loyal and compassionate man, and continued to teach us so much about life. His world revolved around his grandchildren and his kids. Gilbert Gonzalez was the best husband, son, brother, father, g-paw, and friend any of us could’ve asked for. He finally brought honor to the Gonzalez name.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irma Zavala; and uncle Ismael Jimenez.
He is survived by his love wife, Becky Gonzalez; sons, Adrian Moreno and Gilbert Gonzalez; daughters, Alicia Moreno, and Crissy Moreno; granddaughters, Neveah Aranda, Aniyah Aranda, and Mariah Gonzalez; mother, Betty Jimenez; sisters, Gabriella Snyder and Myrna Ramirez; the brother he never had, Ismael Jimenez III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ismael Jimenez III, Adrian Moreno, Gilbert Gonzalez III, Gilbert Espinoza, Ramon Pena, Robert Ramirez, Eric Ramirez, William Snyder, Ladre “John” Gillory, and Luke West.
