Gerald “Jerry” Ray Moore, age 81, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 14, in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Dorman Funeral Home.
On Wednesday, October 4, 1942, Gerald Ray Moore was born to proud parents Dellie and Florence Moore, in Orange, Texas. He served in the United States Army and was an incredible man full of humor and wisdom that was readily shared with others. Jerry loved his family with all of his heart and always treasured time spent with them.
Preceding Jerry in death are his parents; sister, Patsy A. Kirkpatrick and former wife Diana L. Moore.
Those left to cherish Jerry are his children Wayne Moore of Mauriceville, Dwight Bobo of Hemphill, Alisha Rubio and husband of Mauriceville, Kathryn Hunter and Husband Larry of Humble, Karen Shaffer of Dallas; sister, Marie Morris of Bridge City; grandchildren, Brianna Moore, Kinsley Moore, Addisyn Moore, Jada Mahon, Reece Rubio, Brandi Sepulvado, Karrie Phillips, Sarah McElduff, Derrick Bobo, Skylar Bobo, and eleven great grandchildren.
The family is requesting that in Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the family for funeral expenses.
