The Celebration of Life for Mr. George J. Davis, 69, of Orange, will be Saturday, September 27th, at 10:30am during a Funeral Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Rites of Christian Burial will be held at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be from 8:30am until 10am. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00am.
George James Davis, the son of Shirley (Daniels) Davis and Anthony Davis, Sr. was born in Lafayette, LA and resided in Orange 40 years.
He owned and operated his own trucking service, affiliated with Genex Transportation Company.
A member of the St. Therese Catholic Church, he was also a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
George was a U.S. Army Veteran, Discharged With Honors.
He leaves to cherish his memory his spouse, Cecilia Davis of Orange, sons, Clinton Giron (Bira) of Spring, TX, George Londo-Davis of Orange, and William Davis (Valarie) of Katy, TX, daughters, Georgia Londo of Dallas, TX, Marie Londo of Houston, TX and Vanilla Londo of Lafayette, brother, Oneal Davis of New Iberia, LA, 17 grandchildren and special aunt, Lorenza Daniels Williams (Ted) of Olivia, LA.
