Gayle “Christy” Christine Richey Sargent, 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 20, 2017, at her home.
Born in Overton, Texas, Christy was the daughter of Clarence Arthur Richey and Anne Ava (Jordan) Richey. She was a graduate of Deweyville High School and the first female Millwright in this area, as well as being a member of The Local 2484. Christy was a housewife and a mother to many. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them and watching her precious grandchildren. Christy liked spending time fishing with her husband and playing with her dogs, Sarge and Scrappy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Anne; husband, James Allen Sargent, II; daughter, Heather Sizemore; and her brother, Tommy Richey.
Christy is survived by her children, Lonnie Lonidier and wife Brandy, of Orange and Heath Lonidier and wife Adrianne, of Orange; grandchildren, Jacob Sizemore, Jordan Daigle, Canah Benoit, Hunter Gothreaux, Grace Gothreaux, and Lane Freeman; great-grandchildren, Maddyn and Kaydence; siblings, Elizabeth Richey, Carolyn Welter and husband Steve, Janice Cox and husband Jay, Clifford Richey and wife Teresa, and Angela Richey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
