
Because of the recent rains, especially north of Toledo Bend Lake, the Sabine River Authority on Saturday opened all 11 gates to one foot each and both generators are running for a total CFS of 24,470.
Toledo Bend had reached 172.74 with full pool at 172. SRA releases water when it reaches 172.50.
With the current release, the Sabine River at Deweyville is expected to reach 26ft. on May 11 according to NOAA. That is expected to bring “minor to moderate” flooding to those near the river. (file photo)
