Monday around 11:00 p.m., the Newton Co. Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Shawn Hickman of Orange after he was seen walking the streets in Deweyville.
Sheriff Colton Havard said, “He is no stranger to law enforcement. He’s a wanted fugitive from Texas Pardon and Parole for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He ended up taking a ride to Newton and will not be walking the streets of CR 4181 anytime soon.”
