
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats celebrated Faculty and Staff by defeating the Buna Lady Cougars 9-5 to move to 13-0 in district play and clinch the 2026 22-3A District Championship.
Abigail Stephenson started the game giving up 1 run in 2 innings on 3 hits with one strikeout. Teal Kibodeaux finished the game working 5 innings and giving up no earned runs on 3 hits with 8 strikeouts. The sophomore also collected her 500th career strikeout.

Charlee Sanches led the offense with a single, a double, 3 RBIs, and a run scored. Hannah Bisson added 2 singles, an RBI and a run scored. Hallee Becker had 2 singles, a run scored and a stolen base. Laila Agerton added a single and an RBI. Jocelyn Droddy had a single and a run scored. Aubree Gamblin had a single, an RBI, a run scored, and 2 stolen bases. Madi LaSalle had a single, an RBI and a run scored. Abigail Stephenson added a double. Teal Kibodeaux had a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Bre LaSalle and Karlie Traxler both had runs scored.
The Lady Bobcats are back to back District 22-3A Champions and improve to 31-1 overall and 13-0 in district play. The Lady Bobcats will wrap up regular season play this Tuesday vs. Anahuac and will celebrate their seniors: Ava Steiner, Kamryn Kelley, Charlee Sanches, Hallee Becker and Aubree Gamblin. The game will begin at 6:00, and senior night festivities at 5:45.

BC 8 Galveston Ball 6 – Cards took on the Tors in a non-district game. Kaitlyn Juneau, Ella Droddy, Cambree LaComb, and Cheyenne Mendoza all had two hits each. LaComb got the complete game win. Both teams had 11 hits in the game.

LCM 15 Jasper 0 (4) – Bears had 11 hits. Doubles for Abby Sepulvado, Halynn Trosclair, Kacey Wallace, and Tessa Erickson. Erickson gave up 3 hits, no walks and struck out 5.

Vidor 9 Lumberton 4 – Pirates scored 4 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to put the game away. LP’s had 17 hits with 3 from Avery Harrington, and two each from Tylen Cassell, Kynlee Duke, Charlegh Haley, Alyssa Korman, and Eryn Barraza who had a double and a triple. Bailey Hargroder had the CG win with 4K’s and no walks.

Silsbee 12 WOS 2 (6)- Kyla Blagburn, Sha’Lynn Jones and Kensley Waller collected the four hits for WOS.

BASEBALL
Bridge City 11 Jasper 1 – Cards (8-2) keep Jasper winless in district. Landon LeLeaux had a game going 3-4 with 2RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Slade Landry and Hunter Ford also drove in two a piece as Brady Havard, Landry, and Slade Herman combined on a 3 hitter with 4K’s and 1 walk.

Silsbee 1 LCM 0 (9) – Winning run reached on an error and was driven in by Brendon Hughes for the walk off win. Bears (3-5) had one hit off of Josh Lawson (Jakob Scheiderer) who had the complete game win with 7K’s. Parker Freeman pitched a 3 hit shutout gem for 8 innings with 5K’s and 6 walks. Jake Raney finished the game.

Lumberton 17 WOS 0 (5) – Gonzalez and Hogg had the two hits for the Mustangs.

Orangefield 9 Buna 6 – Bobcats outhit the Cougars (7-4) 8-3. Matt Johnson had 3 hits including a double and an RBI. Carson Gonzales doubled and drove in two. Kale Spears, Jack Pate and Reagan Valka combined to get the win for the (11-0) Bobcats.
