
The LCM Lady Bears showed their muscles in district play with an 11-1 win over previously unbeaten Bridge City.
The Bears pounded out 20 hits against Cambree LaComb and Kennadee Sheffield while Ella Stephenson and Tessa Erickson combined to give up one run on 5 hits with 11K’s and no walks. Erickson also added a HR, going 3-5 with 3RBI’s. Keylie Washburn, Jill Brown and Abby Sepulvado also had 3 hits a piece for the 6-0 Bears. BC, who got two hits from Kyleigh Hamilton, drops to 5-1.

Deweyville’s Baylee Smith struck out 13 to put over her 800 strikeouts for her career! LP’s stay undefeated in district with the 12-3 win over West Hardin.

Freshman Teal Kibodeaux struck out 10 as the Orangefield Lady Bobcats beat Anahuac 4-0. Kibodeaux drove in two and joined Hallee Becker with two hits each. The Bobcats (6-0) have outscored their district opponents 43-4.

Silsbee came back with 3 in the fifth to slip past Vidor 8-7. Alyssa Korman had a big game with the Pirates, going 3-3 with 4RBI’s.

Marco Bandiero had 2HR’s and 5RBI’s and Parker Seago was 4-5 with 2RBI’s. Ethan Fry was 3-4 with 4RBI’s.
Bridge City 18 Vidor 7
Hutch Bearden with a HR and 3RBI’s and Ashton Sumrall collected 3RBI’s for the 4-0 Cards.
Orangefield 6 Anahuac 2
Mathew Johnson struck out 6 for the win. Layne Reynolds had a two run single.
Deweyville 9 West Hardin 8
WH scored 5 in the 7th but fell one short to the Pirates. Slade Gunter was 3-3 with 3RBI’s.
