The Lady Cardinals traveled to LCM Friday night to take on
the Lady Bears. The Cards were off to a slow start, and the Bears jumped out to
a quick 2-0 lead at the beginning of the first half. After a few changes in the
Card’s defense, they settled down and did not let another ball find the back of
the net until late in the first, bringing the score to 3-0. Not long after the
Lady Bear’s third goal, Junior Hannah Silveira was fouled and took a free kick
to bring the score to 3-1. After half the Lady Cardinals still could not get
anything going on offense, and the Lady Bears maintained possession the
majority of the second half. Another ball from the Bears found the back of the
net to bring the final score to 4-1. The Lady Cardinals dropped to 1-3 in
district, and will take on the undefeated Lady Raiders in Lumberton on Tuesday
at 6 P.M.
