BC jumped out to a 30-9 halftime lead and were lead by Madison Fischer’s 11 points and 10 rebounds; Hannah Wiegreffe 10 points 9 rebounds and 10 points from Aspen Daniels. For WOS, Diamond Judge scored 6 and Alissa Brown 5.
Orangefield stayed undefeated with a 75-20 over Kirbyville. For OF: Faith Fregia 24 points and 3 steals; Emmi Lummus 14 points, 6 steals, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists; Jacey Bourque 9 points and 4 steals; Kylie Elkins 8 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks; and Joli Ponfick 6 points, 3 steals, and 3 assists.
Deweyville got a huge win at Evadale 44-40. For the Lady Pirates: Aleigha Raymer had 17, Jada Freeland 9, Maggie LaVergne 9, Brooke Sims 5, Chloe Landry 2, Reagan Chance 2. At West Hardin Tuesday. DV is 3-1 in District.
Vidor lost to Dayton 56-52 in OT. For the Lady Pirates: Americus Guerrero – Evans 20 points, Chriseline Quirante 13 points, Elizabeth Torres 11 points. Megan Hatton 7 rebounds. Great effort just came up a little short losing overtime 8 – 4.
LCM defeated Hamshire-Fannett 43-32 behind 17 points and 11 rebounds from Chelsea Perry. Karly Rogers also had a double-double with 12 pts and 13 boards. LCM is now 5-3 in district.
BOYS
WOS came alive in the second half after they were tied at the half with Bridge City, and went on to win 69-56. See separate story.
OF beat Kirbyville 76-42. Kaiden Dubose was the leading scorer with 18 points and Valentin Catt had 13 rebounds to go with his 14 points. Logan Risinger also added 12.
Vidor lost at Dayton 62-45.
LCM outscored HF 73-53. The Bears (2-4) got 24 from Bridges, 17 from Doucette and 14 from Bearden in the win.
Deweyville lost to Evadale 94-47. Ty Collier led the Pirates with 21.
