
SOFTBALL
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated Colmesneil 9-0 and West Orange-Stark 4-1 Friday in the Jasper tournament.
Game 1: Orangefield 9 Colmesneil 0
Ryden Stanfield went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. Codie Sorge went 1 for 1 with a walk and 2 RBIs. Harleigh Rawls went 1 for 1 with an RBI. Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up 2 hits with 9 strikeouts.
Game 2: Orangefield 4 WO-S 1
Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 2 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Olivia Grant went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Codie Sorge got her second win of the day, giving up 2 hits with 8 strikeouts. The Lady Bobcats improve to 11-0 on the season and take on Woodville and Hamshire Fannett Saturday.
LCM at Sweeny Tournament –
Game 1-The Lady Bears whipped East Bernard 11-0. Karson Friar has 11 K’s 0 walks and 2 hits. Bailey Frenzel was 4 for 4 with a homerun.
Game 2- LCM lost to Sweeny 7-6. It was 7-0 till 5th inning. Lakin Adkins leads off with a triple to start the inning, Olivia Leavings walks, then Madeline Stephenson singles to score Adkins, then Bailey hit a line drive off center field fence, Megan Peveto follows with a three run HR! Payten Smith reaches on an error and advances to second, Carly Cogar score Smith with a double . Bailey Frenzel losing pitcher giving 7 runs. Friar relieves and struck out 6, gave up 1 hit 2 walks and no runs.
At the Lumberton Tournament, Deweyville lost to the host Raiders 9-6. In their second game the LP’s beat Evadale 7-3. Lacie McCullough hit her 6th HR of the season and Jayclin Reid was the WP.
BASEBALL
At the Whitehouse Tournament, LCM defeated Henderson 10-0 with 9 runs in the 3rd inning. Zach McNeil, Zach Krummel, Ty Moreland, Hunter Perkins, and Austin Smith all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Anthony Bandiero got the start surrendering zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out three. Gage Griffith finished the shutout.
Bandiero went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Battlin’ Bear Baseball in hits. The defense didn’t commit a single error in the field.
WOS Mustangs season opener today with two W’s in the Anahauc Baseball Classic.

Landon Thomason went 2 for 3, 2 runs and 1 RBI; Justin Brister 2 for 4 and 3 RBIs. Nate Buxton scored twice. Ty Collier was the starting pitcher with 6 K’s Nate Buxton came in for innings 4-6 and struck out 7. Tiger Carpenter closed it out with a pair of Ks.

Friday Varsity Bobcat Tennis competed at the Kelly Bulldog Tournament. The boys doubles team of Brayden Berry and Brayden Frye took home the gold medal 1st place
