
Bridge City beat Silsbee 56-51 to claim their first District Championship since 1963. Offensively BC was lead by Jiraiya Jennings and Braydon Denison with 16 pts. a piece, Aaden Bush with 12, and Hunter Silveira with 9.
“We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but our guys continued to fight,” said Coach Andrew Daspit. “I’m so proud of these guys. Winning district was our first goal at the start of the season and I believe this team can continue to make school history.”

Orangefield beat Buna 77-42 to improve to 10-0.

The West Orange Stark Mustangs defeated Vidor 67-61 moving the Mustangs to 5-4 on the season. Led again by Germicah Davis 21 pts and 7 rebounds, Kwalin Dugas 15 pts and 12 rebound with 5 being offensive. Braydon Gipson had 10 pts, KJ Joullevette 6 pts and 9 rebounds and freshman Audrion Perdue had a big 8 pts off the bench. Mustangs travel Tuesday to take on the Lumberton Raiders.

Deweyville lost to Sabine Pass 85-55. Heath Picou had another big night with 31 points and 17 rebounds. Kamen Collins- 7 points 6 assists and 5 rebounds and Acesyn Stephenson- 6 points and 9 rebounds.

GIRLS
Bridge City wrapped up their second straight district title with a 61-38 win over Silsbee. Mia Sterling had 19 pts. and 8 rebounds as every Lady Card scored in the game.

Orangefield’s Brooklyn Wagoner knocked down a buzzer-beater three to secure the 33–30 victory over Buna and give the Lady Bobcats the District Title. Olivia Smith led the way with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Mikayla Locke added 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Brooklyn Wagoner finished with 8 points and 1 rebound. Video here.
The JV Lady Bobcats also battled and came away with a 41–36 win. Paxton Oldham led her team with 15 points, 5 steals, and 2 rebounds. Ainsley McAlpin contributed 10 points, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds, and Melissa Saucedo added 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Lady Bobcats will close out the regular season at home next Tuesday as they take on the Anahuac Lady Panthers for Senior Night.

The Lady Bears traveled to Lumberton and grabbed a hard-fought 35-34 win over the Lady Raiders. Maya Meadows battled for 12 points, while teammate Mallory Russell continued to do the little things for her team and nabbed 6 points. Emily Smith set up the offense and had 5 points of her own, and Asia Woodson fought for 4 points. The Lady Bears will be at home on Tuesday, taking on Silsbee and celebrating senior night. Senior recognition will take place at 5:15, with one game being played at 6:00.

Vidor beat WOS 58-14 in their final game of the season. Coach Tracey Maines, subbing for Lawrence Williams who is on medical leave, got her first win and the celebratory ice water bath.

Deweyville got the 63-25 win over Sabine Pass. Kambelle scored 30 in the victory. Emily Meyers scored 12 on her senior night and Katelynn Cibrian scored 10. Meyers was joined on Senior Night by manager Braley Revere.
