The girls in 4A opened district play tonight and tournaments continue for the boys.
The BC Lady Cardinals (11-6, 1-0) won their district opener against the Jasper Bulldogs 55-19. High Point: Kennedy Campbell (16 pts). Steals: Kaylee Britten & Whitney Cunningham (4 steals each). Rebounds: Kennedy Campbell (4 rebounds).

Vidor Lady Pirates continue to roll with a 71-46 win over Lumberton in the district opener for both teams. Another great defensive effort. Lady Pirates move to 12-3 and 1-0 in district.

LCM beat WOS 46-21 in the district opener for both. Keylie Washburn scored 26.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats competed in day 2 of the Bill Tennison Memorial Classic. The Varsity nabbed two more wins over Baytown Lee (69-20) and Nederland (57-27), while the Junior Varsity defeated Deweyville’s varsity team (46-31).
Against Baytown Lee Mikayla Locke had 17 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Steelye Franklin had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Teammate Rebecca Durbin had a team high 12 rebounds and Greenlea Oldham had 10 points and 5 rebounds.
In the game against Nederland, Mikayla Locke again had 9 points and 4 assists. Rebecca Durbin also had 9 points while grabbing two rebounds. Olivia Smith had a team high 7 rebounds, Greenlea Oldham had 8 points. Kaylea Gravett had a well rounded game with 7 points, 2 steals, and 4 assists.
In the Junior Varsity game Madison McCormack had 20 points and 2 rebounds. Olivia Smith had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Kendall Sullivan had 6 points to go along with 10 rebounds while teammate Eliese Gravett had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assists!
The Lady Bobcat Varsity will take on Deweyville tomorrow at 2:15 to finish out the tournament before picking back up district play Tuesday at Buna.

BOYS
At the HJ Tournament, LCM beat Aransas Pass 67-51. Alantheon Winn had 24 and Jayden Benton 12.
The Bears lost to Tatum 70-57 despite 31 from Winn. Jonah Fuller added 13. Bears are now 6-9 and will play Saturday.

Deweyville lost to Leggett 71-17 at the Colmesneil Tournament.

BC 61 WOS 47. For BC, Aaden Bush lead the way with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Bryce Linder was a huge spark off the bench with 15 points and also took 2 charges. AG Gutierrez had 14 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Lincoln Breaux has 8 points and 11 rebounds.
