KJ Miller of WOS picks the pocket of LCM’s Cameron Parker for two points at the other end.
The WOS Mustangs took possession of fourth place with one game to play Friday as they defeated the LCM Bears on KOGT 60-45. WOS took a 19-17 lead at the half thanks to a 3 point shot at the buzzer by Brettlin Wiley.
The third quarter was where things started to fall apart for the Bears as they were outscored 13-4. Cameron Parker tried to lead the Bears back in the fourth with four 3-pointers but the Mustangs were just too hot from the field, scoring 28 in the fourth for the win. KJ Miller paced WOS with 18 and Thomas Wallace scored 16.
There’s a chance the two teams could meet again. WOS wraps up the district season Tuesday against Silsbee while LCM will play Orangefield.
Bridge City kept their one game lead on third place with a 45-30 win over OF.
Silsbee defeated Hardin-Jefferson 95-64 to wrap up the district title.
