Tessa Erickson shut down Jasper tonight allowing only one hit in 7 innings, walking 1 and striking out 6. Ava Wright gets the golden glove on defense after robbing what would have been extra base hits from two of Jaspers batters in the top of the 7th. Jacelyn Cook and Lexis Moss both had 2 hits a piece. Ava Wright and Ansley Moore both had RBI singles. Eden Frenzel and Ella Stephenson also had one hit. The Lady Bears are now 9 and 1 in district and 24 and 6 over all.

Orangefield 4 Buna 0
Abigail Curphey threw another complete game gem. The junior surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero.
Harleigh Rawls went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the team in hits, including a solo homerun and 2 runs scored. Charlee Sanches added two hits and had an RBI. Hallee Becker had a hit and a run scored, and sister Paris Becker also had a hit. Rylee Dougay added a hit and an RBI.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 11-2 in district play, and will host Senior and Youth Night this coming Tuesday vs. Hardin at 6:00. A win Tuesday solidifies a district championship for the Lady Bobcats.

Freshman Cambree LaComb pitched five shutout innings giving up just four hits, and she was 1-2 with 2RBI’s at the plate. Haley Munoz, Nicole Sasser and Amaris Larkin also had two hits each for the Lady Cards.

Deweyville 4 Big Sandy 3 (8)
The Lady Pirates needed extra innings to sweep Big Sandy Friday. In the eighth, BS walked the bases loaded and then Baylee Smith singled to drive in Adisyn Thompson for the winning run. Smith finished 3-5 and struck out 13 in the victory. Thompson and Presley Clark had the other two hits for the Pirates.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three giving Jason Bodin plenty of room to work and he did striking out 9, walking 2 and he did not give up an earned run with the Cougars collecting 6 hits. Bodin was also 3-4 at the plate with a double and 3RBI. Morgan Sampson was 3-3 with a double and 2RBI. Logan Cheek, Kyle Michael and Adam Tran also reached base twice. Orangefield is 10-0 in district.

Cardinals scored five in the first and cruised behind Braylen Collins who struck out 8 in the win. Collins also had a 3 run double. Every position player in the lineup had at least one hit in the game.

Jasper 7 LCM 2
After a wild game on Tuesday the two produced another thriller. Tied at two after 2, neither team would touch the plate until the 8th inning when the Bulldogs went off for five runs. The Bears had six hits, two each for Dean Reynolds and Pierce Brown. Parker Seago and Marco Bandiero also singled in the loss.
