Bridge City held off Vidor 59-57. Offensive leaders were Walker Britten with 16 pts 3 asst, Lincoln Breaux 13 pts 8 Rebs and 3 asst and Bryce Linder added 11 pts and 6 Rebs. Defensively, Aiden Guiterrez and Rayburn Hebert had 3 steals each and contributed 6 and 9 pts respectively. Cards improve to 5-4 in district and 18-14 overall. They will host Lumberton Tuesday. This week Britten was also named Mr. Texas Basketball Player of the Week by Dave Campbell’s magazine.

Orangefield lost at home to East Chambers 47-38. Pete Ragusa was the only Bobcat in double figures with 17. OF 9-2 in district and 24-7 overall.

LCM got 22 from Ben Elliott and 10 rebounds as the Bears beat Lumberton 42-32. Da’Marion Morris had 8pts, 7 reb, and 6 assists. LCM is now 6-3 (22-10) and will host Jasper Tuesday.

Deweyville lost to Sabine Pass 55-46. The Pirates were lead by Noah Watson’s 21 pts, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. DJ Kelley added 13 pts, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.

GIRLS
BC defeated Vidor on Senior Night 44-30. Kennedy Campbell was high point scoring 9 points.

LCM clinched second place in district with a 55-32 win over Lumberton. Keylie Washburn scored 24 to lead the Lady Bears who are now 9-2 (27-6).

Deweyville beat Sabine Pass 31-28. For the LP’s Emilee Totino 12 points, 8 rebounds ; Presley Clark 7 points, 6 rebounds; Lakyn Williams 4 points, 6 rebounds; Haley Williams 3 points, 7 rebounds; Adisyn Thompson 3 points, 3 rebounds

The Lady Bobcats took on East Chambers tonight for their last home game of the season. The JV got the night started with a 47-27 win. Rebecca Durbin and Mack Waguespack each had 14 points. Durbin also 6 rebounds and 4 steals and Mack had 5 steals. Addisyn Moore had 9 points and 2 steals.
The Varsity won 47-35. Senior Harleigh Rawls had 12 points, 7 rebounds and a steal. Greenlea Oldham had 10 points, 13 rebounds and a steal. Brooklyn Wagoner had 9 points. Kaylea Gravett and Brianna Moore each chipped in 5 points and 4 rebounds. The Lady Bobcats will travel to Anahuac on Tuesday. The Lady Bobcats also celebrated their two seniors tonight – Alexus Maddox and Harleigh Rawls.

SOCCER
Bridge City boys soccer (10-1)(3-0) defeated the Vidor Pirates in Vidor Friday night 4-2. Bridge City extended its 9 match win streak sparked early with a goal from Nate Stafford. Abraham Munguia found the back of the net before half to make it 2-1 at the break. Hudson Campbell was successfully called on to take a penalty kick and later found the back of the net again to score his second goal of the match. The entire defense gave great effort and did enough to win the match. Bridge City takes on Lumberton, Monday night 7PM in Bridge City. JV Cardinals (6-1-2) beat Vidor JV by a score of 3-0. Scoring for the Cardinals was Jason Gutierrez twice and Ethan Pridemore. JV Cardinals take on Lumberton Monday at 5PM in Bridge City.
