The Celebration of Life for Mr. Frank Broussard, 76, of Orange, will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2pm.
Born May 5, 1949, in Welch, LA, Frank was raised by his mother, Isabella, also known as “Toy” and her husband, Levi Landry, with the assistance of his aunt, Geneva Guillory, who was more of a second mother, than an aunt. All of his life Frank was blessed to be in a family where someone would always step to the plate to take the place of family who passed away, making sure all family was cared for.
Most around Orange knew Frank, even if they didn’t know his name. He made it clear, his business was his business and not your’s and he had a way of telling you that was loud and clear.
Before his health failed, Frank handled maintenance and sanitation duties at Sparrow Funeral Home. Knew his schedule, never had to be reminded, and made sure no one handled what he was responsible for.
For more than two decades, Frank Broussard served the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Usher, Brotherhood, other activities, not only on Sunday, but services during the week also. Frank never drove. Didn’t ask for a ride. But was there. Walked to church, and wherever else he needed to be.
Frank’s last appointment was November 28, 2025, at Focus Care of Orange Nursing Home. As reflected by the on time life he shared with others, Frank answered his Master’s Call.
Cherishing his memory are siblings Edward Broussard, Jr. , Deborah Spears, Mary Lee Ware (Joe), Otharee Kyler (Alex), Larry Broussard, Nathaniel Broussard, Kenneth Broussard, and Nolan Broussard.
Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by Ernestine and Edward Broussard, Sr., who cared for him as their own, and siblings Claude Brown, John L. Brown and Patricnella Nelson.
