
Frances Sanders Rice, 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Orange.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church in Milam, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Teiman, Brother Wade Bryan, and Brother Lonnie Crawford.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 6, 1943, she was a devoted member of Bethany Baptist Church in Milam, Texas. Frances was known for her unwavering faith and deep involvement in her religious community. She took pride in being a family prayer warrior, offering her support and prayers for those she loved and cared about. Throughout her life, Frances demonstrated a steadfast commitment to her beliefs and heartfelt compassion for those around her. Her support for Israel highlighted her dedication to her faith. Frances found joy in visiting with others, always eager to engage in heartfelt conversations and share moments of warmth and connection. Her presence in the community will be fondly remembered by many whose lives she touched with her kindness and enthusiasm. Her legacy of faith and love for others will live on in the cherished memories held by those fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glen Rice; sister, Frances Shirley; and her brothers, Vilas Sanders, Glendell Sanders, and David Sanders.
She is survived by her son, Dean Paul McClendon and wife, Sarah; her grandchildren, Chasani Williamson, and Derrick McClendon; her several great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Cuevas; her brothers, Marvin Sanders and wife, Patricia, and Kenneth Sanders; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
