The West Orange-Stark Mustangs and the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears are the only two teams left standing from Southeast Texas in the high school football playoffs.
The Mustangs (11-1) will play undefeated China Spring who knocked off defending State Champ Carthage. The winner will represent Region 3 in the 4A Division II playoffs. The game will be at the new Tomball ISD Stadium at the corner of Grand Parkway and Cypress Rosehill Rd on Friday at 7pm. It will be a rematch of the two as the Cougars eliminated WOS last year in the playoffs. WOS will be the home team.
The Bears (11-2) will take on the Tyler Chapel Hill Bulldogs (10-3) who upset Kilgore 41-35. The winner will represent Region 3 in the 4A Division I playoffs. The game will be Friday at 7:30pm and will take place at the Berry Center at Cy Fair ISD, located at 8877 Barker Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77433.
