On Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 6:35 P.M., officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to the area of 2nd Street and Schley Avenue in reference to shots fired. While searching the area, information was provided by dispatch that a gunshot victim had arrived at Exceptional Emergency Center. When officers arrived, it was discovered that a total of four victims with gunshot wounds were at the medical facility. It was learned that the shooting incident took place at 209 Morrell Boulevard.
One victim was treated and released from Exceptional Emergency Center.
Two victims were transported by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital. One victim is in recovery and the other is in critical condition.
One victim was life flighted to Houston. That victim has since been treated and released.
The investigation is ongoing and nothing further can be released at this time.
