Two area baseball players, a softball player and a soccer star have all announced that they’re going to try playing at the next level. And all four will be staying in Texas.
Orangefield’s Jason Bodin will be attending Texas A&M to play baseball. Bodin hit .368 with an on-base percentage of .467. He had four doubles, three triples, a home run, 27 runs batted in and 14 steals for Coach Tim Erickson and the Bobcats.
Annabelle Fisher could’ve gone to college in a couple of sports but has chosen soccer and she’ll extend her playing career at Texas State in San Marcos. Fisher has been an All-District performer for Coach Lauren Martin her first three years, including MVP a season ago.
Braylen Collins will play baseball at the University of Houston where he is expected to join former Cardinal Logan Hamm. Collins can play several positions for Coach Chad Landry. Last season he also threw 20 innings with 24K’s and only 4 walks.

Vidor’s Brilie Corneilison will be playing softball at Kilgore JC. Coach Nikki Trahan says she’s just glad she has her for another season with the Lady Pirates.
