A large crowd gathered Wednesday to watch four Bridge City baseball players sign letters of intent to play at the next level following their senior seasons.
Tanner Wilson and Cameron Yadon both signed to play for Will Davis at Lamar University. Yadon, an infielder, and Wilson, an outfielder, also pitched last season for Coach Chad Landry.
Pitcher/3B Logan Hamm signed with Texas State in San Marcos.
Pitcher/3B Peyton Havard signed to play with the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette.
Havard is a two time district MVP and All-KOGT MVP. Yadon, Hamm and Wilson were also district first team selections and All-KOGT members. Havard and Hamm were also Honorable Mention 4A All-State selections.
Landry said all four deserved to play at the next level because they are winners on and off the baseball field. The first day of practice for the 2020 season is January 31.
