Five people were taken to area hospitals following an accident Friday night at the intersection of Hwy. 87 and MLK.
First responders received the call around 7:35pm. A PT Cruiser was traveling northbound on Hwy. 87 and attempted to turn left onto MLK. A red Ford, driving southbound on Hwy. 87, struck the Cruiser in the passenger side.
The passenger in the PT Cruiser was flown to the hospital in critical condition. Four occupants in the Ford were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
