Monday night around 8pm firefighters from Orange County ESD 2, 3, and 4 along with Newton Co. ESD 1 responded to a house fire at 382 Rose in the McLewis area just off Hwy. 62 N.
Matt Manshack, ESD 3 Fire Chief said the owner had just about completed a remodel after being flooded by Harvey. No one was home at the time. The fire was coming through the roof when they arrived. They had the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes.
