A family was out of town when their home caught fire early Monday morning in the Charlemont Addition in Orange.
Orange firefighters were called to 2300 Tilley Circle and stopped the fire from spreading. Fire Marshal Randy Enner said the fire began in the attic and firefighters were able to keep it from getting into the lower unit but it did suffer from smoke and water damage.
After initial investigation Enner is calling it an electrical fire that started in the attic. The home had solar panels but it is not known if that’s where it started.
One person that was house sitting was able to get out unharmed.
