Monday night Bridge City High School hosted its Annual Meet the Cardinals and this year it included a special dedication.
The field was officially named Moe Litton Field, after the longtime coach and trainer.
Litton passed away in October of last year. Alumni from the 1966 State Championship football team approached the school board after he died and went through the procedure to have Litton’s name added. In May the school board voted to name the field after Litton.
The stadium will still be known as Larry Ward Stadium.
Litton’s family is pictured with the new signage that will go on the scoreboard.
