A 44 year old woman from Orange County was pronounced dead Tuesday following an accident on Womack Rd. A dump truck collided with a Toyota SUV after the woman driving the Toyota attempted to pass the the truck. The two collided, resulting in the SUV catching fire and the dump truck turning on its side.
The call came in around 9:45am with the accident on Womack which runs in between I-10 and FM1078.
The dump truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries while the female in the Toyota was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins. She has been identified as Sommer Gallien of Mauriceville. JP Jenkins has ordered an autopsy.
