The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate Highway 10 near the 858-mile marker that occurred Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5:40 p.m., a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling west and stopped in the center lane due to traffic and was rear ended by a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The driver of the truck tractor was not injured. Their information is not immediately available.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace. Their information is not immediately available.
