On Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 7:30AM, Officers responded to the 400 block of South 4th Street in reference to a motorcycle crash. They located two deceased individuals in the parking lot. The preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling north on 4th street at a high rate of speed. The operator lost control and struck the curb in the 500 block of S. 4th, then struck a fence in the 400 block of S. 4th, ejecting both the operator and passenger.
The victims were identified as:
Devin Moore, 26 year old man from Orange and Shanice Richards, 28 year old woman from Beaumont.
