
Update:
The robbers who killed a Labrador retriever Monday night stole marijuana and also hit one of the victims in the head with a pistol. The victim was bleeding above an eyebrow when police arrived, but refused medical treatment.
Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the four male victims were ages 16 through 20 and no one else was in the house. The robbers knocked on the door and one of the victims opened the door. He said the victims told officers “a small amount” of marijuana on a table was stolen.
The robbery was at a house in the 1400 block of West Cherry Avenue in the Old Orange Historic District about 9:20 p.m. One of the robbers had a black handgun and hit one of the men three times, splitting his skin open.
On the way out, one of the robbers shot and killed a black Labrador retriever. Enmon said the robbers were black males and one was wearing a black and red hoodie. No other description is available at this time.

Two armed robbers shot and killed a black Labrador retriever last night at a house in the 1400 block of Cherry Avenue.
Four people inside the house had items stolen at gunpoint.
Orange Police Captain Charlie Stephenson said the robbery was reported at 9:20 p.m. He said the robbers got the items and shot the dog before they left.
Officers searched the area but did not find the two robbers.
